Please allow me this opportunity to request your consideration for support of Skate For Hope, a premier figure skating event benefiting breast cancer research and awareness. 

On August 30, 2008, I will perform in SFH and if you decide to sponsor my performance, you may do so at any amount you wish.  Checks are made payable to Skate For Hope and will be collected by me to turn in with my show registration.  Please consider giving your support to Skate For Hope in 2008, and join me in being considered as one of the champions leading the fight against breast cancer

As you know, I have been through a lot with this disease and am still going through the throws of “deconstruction” and side effects of drugs.  It has been 4, almost 5, years since my diagnosis and I pray that Mallory and all our daughters will not have to suffer through all of this.

I feel fortunate to have the skills to perform in Skate For Hope and positively affect the lives of those that I skate for.  Skate For Hope would be similar to Race For The Cure but I am able to skate instead of run. 

This year, SFH aims to raise $100,000 for clinical breast cancer research and with your support, we will achieve this dream. Donations are tax deductible and this letter combined with your returned check will serve as a tax-deductible gift receipt.  Skate for Hope is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that donates its proceeds to The Stefanie Speilman Fund and the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer (SFH Tax Id #73-1686089.)

SFH will be in The Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio which seats 10,000.  With 4 accomplished years behind us, Skate For Hope will celebrate its fifth anniversary show this year and we hope to fill the arena up again.
