January 19, 2008:  The Star of Texas Adult Open hosted by Iceland FSC at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center, Sugar Land, TX

There were 38 competitors representing 15 clubs plus individual US Figure Skating members who came from 6 states.  There were 28 events with 77 starts entered, but there were an unusually high number of scratches this year.

Congratulations to all of the skaters and a big thank you to the Judges, Referee, and Accountant.  We would also like to thank all of the volunteers from Iceland FSC, Houston FSC, and TGCFSC who helped Iceland host this competition.

Star of Texas Adult Skating Competition

Regrettably, there will be no Star of Texas Adult Competition in 2009.  The LOC decided that in light of rising expenses and forecasted low participation to suspend the competition this season.  Please check back in the summer of 2009 to see if the annual competition will be held in 2010.

Midwestern Adult Sectionals Figure Skating Championships, Wyandott, MI, February 20-22, 2009.

The Deborah Burgoyne North American Invitational is at the same time and place as Mids.
